Per Chris Stevenson in the Ottawa Sun, Clouston has again reconfigured the top line (or second line, depending on how you feel about Fisher/Alfie/Kovalev). Cheechoo joins Spezza and Michalek, the Watermelon Warrior, to see if any of the three can pot their first goal of the season. I personally look forward to seeing how Cheechoo does with both a familiar face in Michalek and an elite playmaker in Spezza (no offense to Regin). Speaking of the Dane, he's out hurt tonight and Ryan Shannon will return to take his spot, flanked by Foligno and Neil. The fourth line of Donovan, Kelly, and Ruutu naturally stay in tact.
Enjoy!

I don't know if i missed something, but why has Michalek earned the nickname of Watermelon Warrior? I can't figure it out.
I think the watermelon warrior nickname followed him from his time in San Jose. I can't remember where I first heard it or its meaning, but one theory was that because of his speed and hands, he could pick up the puck out of the corners like he was picking out watermelon seeds. Random, but so is California. And its more exciting than 'Fish, Cheech, and Neiler'.
If you are going "Watermelon Warrior", ya gotta go "The Cheechoo Train" and "TITS"...
PS: They are in deep tonight but I think they get one it's the law of averages!
PS: Pascal wins for us tonight to show he owns the other French Goalie...it starts tonight.
As the Summer's worst critic of the Sens, I must admit that they are playing well. I'm not sure if it is the new Clouston system, or the more balanced team filled with guys who play like they're grateful for the chance, but this is a fast and exciting team to watch.
I will also say that I was one of the first to suggest that Carkner should stay. Now that he has demonstrated his ability to play, lets all admit that he is an important part of the team. His toughness on D makes up for the soft shit we've seen for years from our D. He adds a dimension...
My only "bitch" so far is how absolutely crappy Jason Spezza has played. If Kovalev is invisible, then what do we call Spezza????
I wasn't shocked to see Pitt beat us, but that isn't a reason to ignore some excellent play so far.
I caught only the first period and it looked pretty good - Michalek's goal was wicked. Cheechoo made a beauty move too, to get it to him - but it must have fizzled after that.
They contained the big duo and got beat by their 3rd tier. Kennedy has been a Sen killer in the making for last season or so - no surprise. It's only a matter of time before he gets signed here then sucks the cold shit ...
Guerin's goal was unfortunate. And a gaff or two made the difference.
WTF are Campoli and Karlsson doing as a pairing? both -3? Karlsson with one of Phillips, A-train, or Carkner.
Kovalev better start earning that 10M soon. I'd take Lang, Comrie and Tanguay combined for him right now. (check their salaries I think that's near 5M for this year)
L'artiste est comme pepe le pew, maintenant!
